Overview

Skysmart is the children's education platform by Skyeng — Russia's largest EdTech company. Covering subjects from English and Math to Chess and Chemistry, the platform serves students aged 4 to 18 across thousands of active users.

Problem

As the school kept launching new subjects, each needed its own landing page. Without a system in place, every new page meant starting from scratch — slow, inconsistent, and hard to scale.

Goal

Build a flexible template that could work across 8 subjects and 4 age groups. The key creative challenge was visualizing the age gradient — younger children get more mascots and playful elements, older students get cleaner 3D models — so each page feels tailored without breaking the system.

Results

✽ Built a template system that scales across any new subject without additional design work
✽ Math page delivered as the first complete handoff — became the blueprint for all subsequent pages

Age structure

Each subject at Skysmart covers different age groups — and the programme, tone, and features change significantly from 4 to 18. So the template had to flex too. We built an age gradient into the system: younger kids get more mascots and playful elements, older students get cleaner, more serious layouts. Same template, completely different feel.

Process and drafts

Some sections also came in two versions — detailed and emotional. The teacher block, for example, could show full profiles and credentials, or just a couple of phrases that felt more personal. Depending on what the subject needed.
